As a UI/UX Engineer, you will work closely with our VP of Information Design to design, implement, and refine the Atlas front end experience. Key focuses of this role include gathering customer feedback on how users interact with Atlas, as well as designing & implementing interfaces for scalable latent space interaction. As our first dedicated UI/UX hire, you will have an outsized opportunity to shape the design philosophy and feel of Nomic.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with users, executives, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
Create wire-frames, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Develop and maintain user interface components and design systems for web and mobile applications.
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to optimize and enhance the user experience.
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
Qualifications
Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
Familiarity with WebGL, WebGPU, and WASM is preferred, but not required.
Familiarity with full stack engineering is preferred, but not required.
