Sr. Visual Designer, Sales Analytics

The Senior Visual Designer, Sales Analytics will support our advertising sales and revenue organization. This analyst will accelerate our creativity and help us build out our data visualization and storytelling capabilities using the latest tools and techniques, like R, ggplot2, Python, D3, Datawrapper, javascript, etc. We are not limited by these specific tools but are expanding our capabilities beyond tools like Tableau, Looker, Excel and PowerPoint. The reporting and analytics team is responsible for enabling our teams with the data-driven tools and insights they need to be successful and this role will enhance that capability. This position will report to the Director, Sales Operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Up-leveling our data visualization and data communications, through new tools and capabilities, like R-ggplot2, Python, D3, Datawrapper.
  • Analyze our advertising business through data, and identify key insights and actions to drive the business forward
  • Review multiple datasets from many different sources, including Salesforce.com and a large SQL data lake
  • Be able to work with imperfect data that often needs to be tuned and combined with other data sources
  • Tell stories effectively through a combination of data visualization techniques and narrative storytelling
  • Communicate and present concepts and ideas to senior stakeholders
  • Optimize the reporting portfolio and analytics packages for different personas, including Executive Management, Regional Sales Leads, Account Executives, and other functions
  • Contribute to key quarterly processes like quarterly business reviews and earnings reporting
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to enable decisions that drive the business forward
  • Partner with other teams such as inventory, FP&A, and core analytics to facilitate knowledge sharing

We’re excited if you have

  • 5-7 years’ experience with analytics and visualization tools
  • Expertise in business metrics and tying detailed data to business objectives
  • Expertise in Salesforce.com reporting, dashboards and data, with an emphasis on Lightning
  • Expertise in SQL and databases
  • Expertise in data visualization skills in Python or R combined with data-viz specific libraries like ggplot2 and D3
  • Proven ability to synthesize details, presenting ideas and methodologies to executive leadership
  • Proven ability to work directly with sales teams and other teams, including demonstrated nuance in navigating complex multi-stakeholder environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Passionate about OTT, the future of television, streaming, and advertising technology
