infogr8 is looking for an experienced Lead Information Designer with modern flair to lead the creative visual outputs across our purpose-driven projects.
You’ll demonstrate excellence in information design, with a keen focus on UI design that strikes a balance between the art of possibility and meeting standards for optimal user experience. You’ll also foster the creative culture at infogr8 and reflect it across our digital services line.
You’re someone who can bring visual stories to life with quality. You see the big picture, without being afraid to get into the weeds to make sense of granular datasets. You’ll relish collaborating with data strategists, journalists and engineers across a given project. You enjoy communicating your passion for design and have a considered approach for each intended audience. As a data visualisation evangelist, you’re hungry to be acknowledged within the space and want to win things as part of the design team, whether that’s pitches or awards.
infogr8 are now at an exciting growth stage. You’ll be hungry to continue this momentum across our creative design capabilities. In return, you’ll benefit from our sustainable work-life approach – choose where you want to work, and have client-free Fridays to focus 20% of your energy on experimenting with new themes, tools and devices, or applying new design thinking to bring even more purpose to what we do everyday.
The role:
- Foster the creative standards: be the go-to person for all things dataviz and creative design systems that help clients gain long-term value.
- Deliver high-quality data experiences: produce bespoke information design solutions by taking a client brief from creative concept to full-functioning design.
- Evolve the product lineup: bring creative input into infogr8’s products and services while staying ahead of emerging design trends.
Background and skills:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a creative agency or design studio is a must.
- Confidence in leading strategic design decisions and guiding stakeholders on what success looks like from a creative design perspective.
- Ability to craft style tiles, moodboards, sketches, wireframes and prototypes through to pixel-perfect design in a fast, iterative way.
- Ability to lead, influence and support others in virtual environments and across multidisciplinary teams through proven design principles and lean/agile processes.
The full role can be found here in long form.
