This role is part of the Global Witness’ Data Investigations Team. The purpose of the Data
Investigations Team is to work in partnership with our Campaign teams to provide innovative and
engaging data analysis and products. Our Data Investigators have used a diverse range of tools and
techniques, including data visualisation, data analysis, bots, and interactive storytelling, to
highlight the role the role of corporations in worsening the climate crisis.

This role will primarily partner with the Forests team on projects that highlight the role of financial
institutions in deforestation. The role will find engaging and robust ways of analysing and
presenting the results from financial and deforestation data. Our Data Investigators have worked
with the Forests team to produce reports such as Banks, Beef and the Brazilian Amazon, and tools
such as our Brazil Big Beef Watch bot.
