We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Developer to join our team at the German Space Operations Center near Munich. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong foundation in computer science, and while experience in our tech stack is advantageous, we value individuals who are eager to learn and grow within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
• Work on projects utilizing backends written in Scala, employing Akka for servers, streaming, and GraphQL or REST for APIs.
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using the latest version of Angular and TypeScript.
• Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and security of applications.
• Contribute to projects involving the .NET Framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Familiarity with backend technologies, particularly Scala, Akka, and experience with GraphQL or REST.
• Familiarity with both functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.
• Proficiency in frontend development using Angular and TypeScript.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Beneficial Additional Skills

• Familiarity with the .NET Framework.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with satellite operations or related technologies.
• Experience working with databases, especially Postgres and TimescaleDB.
• Experience with Metaflow for creating pipelines.
