We are looking for someone with a passion for web development, design, and data visualization to create intuitive modern web applications and data stories. We are a cross-functional team of data scientists, modelers, and web developers who build elegant solutions to complex data problems. As an interactive web developer, you’ll be responsible for building full-stack tools and dynamic visualizations that communicate analytic findings, tell stories with data, and allow users to interact with data models and algorithms. You’ll work with a group of experienced developers who strive to bring cutting-edge commercial best practices in web design and development to our clients. No two projects will be the same, with potential challenges, including communicating captivating data stories by animating elements on scroll, constructing interactive charts, maps, and 3D models that give clients the ability to dive deep into their data, creating APIs that allow a UI to communicate with a back-end database and model, and leading your own development of static and dynamic applications based on your interests and expertise.

You Have:

• Experience as a web developer using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience with at least one modern JS framework, including Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte
• Experience with responsive web design
• Experience using popular JS visualization libraries, including D3, Highcharts, or Leaflet
• Experience with Git
• Experience with Python
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with the aerospace industry, including the USAF or NASA
• Experience with creating and modifying web servers and databases
• Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub, JIRA, or Jenkins
• Experience deploying static and full-stack applications, including using tools, such as AWS, Docker, or Nginx
• Experience with a design tool, including Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma, and with graphic design or 3D Modeling
• Knowledge of Section 508 compliance
• Knowledge of ES6, Webpack, and Typescript
• Knowledge of UI design principles and design methodology
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience in verbal and written form
• Top Secret clearance
