Graphistry: 100X Investigations
Graphistry is a visual graph intelligence startup building technology to 100X the investigation process. We help teams tackle all sorts of critical graph problems like detecting account takeovers, mapping enterprise breaches, exploring cancer genomes, understanding customer journeys, and tracking misinformation. Recently named a Gartner Cool Vendor, our technology led to the popular Nvidia RAPIDS.ai GPU analytics framework, and we helped start Apache Arrow, which was voted the top open source data technology of last year. Our core platform supports end-to-end GPU Python computing, the most scalable interactive visual graph analysis UI, a UI for low-code investigation automation, and integrations with popular data science & database technologies. For more information, you can check out PyGraphistry (https://github.com/graphistry/pygraphistry) or a recent graph database partner talk (https://info.tigergraph.com/graph-ai-summit-spring-2021-scale-your-interactive-graph-visualizations).
GPU Visualization Engineer
Graphistry is looking for visualization developers excited about enabling analysts to dig into bigger and trickier data. We have 2 immediate engineering openings, one in leading the broad data visualization experience, and this posting on scripting full stack GPU visualization.
For the GPU visualization opening, the near-term projects are around initiatives like increasing our visual scale another 100X and shader effects. You’ll be working with our full-stack team, partners like Nvidia, and as we are a user-focused team, you’ll also have the chance to chat directly with analysts in our community channels and engage with their data teams. Over time, you’ll take ownership of increasing parts of the full stack GPU visualization pipeline and its direction.
Ideal candidate profile
Due to the versatile nature of the role, we encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
Successful candidates can, with help, learn potential gaps, and in the long-term, be a team multiplier in some dimension. We expect some level of GPU and visualization experience, such as GLSL, and curiousity in learning new frontiers such as WebGL2, WebGPU, and going full-stack GPU with cloud acceleration through Apache Arrow / RAPIDS.ai / CUDA / OpenCL. Our GPU viz frontend tier is JS-heavy and GPU viz backend tier is increasingly PyData-based. We’ll want to discuss your experiences with data visualization, performance optimization, and technical leadership.
We are actively seeking candidates for an immediate opening:
- Mid + senior candidates
- Remote: Anywhere in the world; at least 2 PT-timezone calls / week; English fluency
- Full-time contract-to-hire / contract
- Flexible start
