Yahoo Finance Data Specialist 

Responsibilities

Collecting, formatting, and maintaining datasets to support editorial/data visualisation workflow
Provide relevant data and ideas to reporters/editors to spur more dataviz
Facilitate automation of updates to datasets via API
Provide analytical support of data for reporters/editors as needed
Help update and maintain Flourish dataviz projects

Required qualifications

Familiarity with data analytics
Ability to extract data from websites via scraping or API
Ability to pull and manipulate large datasets and cull into manageable/shareable/updateable Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with python coding language a plus
Experience working in a newsroom environment preferred
B.A. or relevant certifications
