About this role
The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for leading data engineering development of visualization projects in order to assist stakeholders’ understandings of their business needs. As a key member of our Discovery team, you will play a pivotal role in creating scalable, stable, and precise engineering solutions for our clients’ reporting needs. Ensuring a positive customer experience is of the utmost importance for InfoTrust; this role will be crucial in our vision to maintain and improve client satisfaction.
Here are some of the goals we have for this role within the person’s first year. In many cases, we may already have a lot of these systems and processes in place, but we need to ensure scale in our processes:
- Lead data engineering development for visualization projects, performing ETL integrations within GCP
- Meet with stakeholders to understand their business needs and reporting requirements and translate them into an engineering solution
- Create scalable, stable, and precise engineering solutions for clients’ reporting needs that are efficient and cost effective
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy in transforming platform data for reporting within a visualization tool
- Identify client objectives and map suitable analytics solutions, ensure that all required performance data can be reliably tracked and reported
- Deliver solutions, reports, and findings to clients in-person or via conference calls
- Educate clients on the importance of measurement and provide best practice guidance for technical aspects of analytics
- Provide guidance to data analysts to produce marketing dashboards via DataStudio, PowerBI, Looker, and Tableau
- Work with some of the largest brands in the CPG, retail, and news/media industries
Location
We’re excited to announce that we’ve just re-opened our HQ office in Cincinnati, OH as well as our Chicago office. Currently, returning to the office is optional for our local employees. We strongly prefer candidates who live in one of those two metro areas, but we are open to someone working fully remote from the US or Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Must be authorized to work in US or Canada for any employer.
Requirements
The successful Business Intelligence Engineer will have the following background and skills:
- You have experience (2+ years preferred) utilizing Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics reports and working with Google Marketing Platforms
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker (2+ years)
- SQL Database knowledge; BigQuery preferred (2+ years)
- Experience with cloud platforms; GCP preferred (2+ years)
- Front-end development experience using modern web tools (2+ years)
- Tech savvy: you pick up new technology quickly and have experience with web technologies such as, but not limited to Javascript/Typescript, tag management, tag governance, web design, etc.
- You are a great communicator, with the ability to talk with clients and other partners
- Real passion for helping clients solve complex business and marketing questions
- You can work independently and prioritize multiple projects
- Project management experience: you know what it is like to create raving fans
- You are a self-starter who seeks knowledge and expertise in digital analytics
