We are now looking for a Data Visualization Intern to join our RAPIDS team.

NVIDIA is hiring interns and engineers to scale up its RAPIDS accelerated analytics team. At NVIDIA, we are passionate about learning new things and using our new-found knowledge to change the world. If you have strong programming skills, a deep understanding of data visualization and graphics technologies, experience working with cloud and on-premise big data architectures, and love to be part of a dynamic team working on open source projects, we want you.

You and other engineers in this team will help advance NVIDIA’s capacity to build and deploy industry defining solutions for a wide range of applications in, cyber security, web analytics, and healthcare.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with new and existing technologies to build data visualization and enterprise grade applications that showcase end to end GPU accelerated data science.
  • Developing frameworks for interactive data visualizations that utilize the capabilities of high performance GPU architectures.
  • Collaborating with distributed teams and a broad range of partners to advance the art of data analytics and data visualization.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with modern frameworks, stacks, and best practices, ideally in JavaScript and/or Python and/or C++ (yes we are working across all 3, but expertise in all is not required).
  • Strong skills in scripting tasks (Python, Bash, etc.) as well as comfort in using Linux and typical development tools (Git, Jupyter, etc.).
  • Ability to develop, document, and deploy web services and APIs (Node.js etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and hardware memory.
  • Highly motivated team player who can work successfully with multi-functional teams, and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, product oriented team.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience using data analytics libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
  • Experience with GPU libraries (OpenGL, CUDA, WebGL, OpenCL etc.).
  • Experience with Node.js and server side web technology.
  • Data Science and Visualization experience!
  • Have a well organized GitHub / Repo and/or portfolio
