About This Position

Commercial Analysis (CA) is a newly formed team responsible for the design, development, and facilitation of consistent key performance analysis across Global Distribution (GD).

The CA team is looking for a Business Analysis Manager, responsible for the development of business case evaluations, complex data visualizations, and executive-quality presentations for use in discussions with Management Committee members. The Business Analysis Manager will have matrix leadership across associate analysts on the team. While not directly managing associates, the Business Analysis Manager will be responsible for the onboarding, mentoring, and implementation of analysis and governance best practices.

A successful candidate will possess a mix of business analysis and problem-solving skills, process design strength, governance discipline, strong visual and oral storytelling skills, Tableau proficiency, and knowledge and interest in asset management and global trends. The Business Analysis Manager will work independently to meet deadlines and lead workstreams within larger projects, receiving minimal guidance and holding self-accountability to meet and exceed objectives. Requires a “no task too big or too small” and team-player mentality.

 

Role Summary

Delivers complex financial analytics and reporting. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of own work. May provide guidance to less experienced team members, as needed, and contributes to the achievement of team goals.

 

Responsibilities

Performs complex historical analyses to support end- to-end processes within Finance, including the support for the period close, analyses of performance such as forecasted period revenue and expenses against actual results, and metrics and scorecard reporting. Identifies and monitors broad trends and potential implications for processes and decision-making.
Updates/refines short-term and long-range forecasts and methodologies using multiple inputs and assumptions to reflect changes in business strategies and business intelligence in the competitive environment impacting lines of business.
Conducts trend analysis on financial data and operating performance. Assists in developing recommendations on improving efficiency and effectiveness against benchmarks.
Participates in the development of annual operating, capital, and strategic plans. Compiles financial information and conducts analysis as needed to evaluate the financial impact of new projects and business opportunities.

Typical Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Data Analytics, AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

High proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing complex financial data into meaningful executive summary statements and visual stories
Knowledge and interest of broader asset management and global trends is highly preferred
Superior PowerPoint and Excel skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Superior individual execution skills, critical thinking abilities and team orientation
Experience with business intelligence tools and/or data storytelling (i.e., Tableau) is preferred
Desire to work in a fluid environment, pivoting skills and responsibilities as team evolves
Ability to identify an opportunity or problem and develop a creative solution
Motivates others and works effectively in a team environment
Outstanding financial, quantitative, analytical, and storytelling skills
Experience with reporting (i.e., SQL), or programming languages (i.e., R) is preferred
Experience working to support a sales organization
Previous asset management industry experience

Regional Requirements – FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
