This position is located in Arlington, VA. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

The JSI Center for Health Information, Monitoring and Evaluation (CHIME) is a technical assistance, research, and knowledge group within JSI dedicated to improving the quality of health information and increasing evidence-based decision making in the health sector. CHIME responds to the growing demand for information-driven health services planning and management. The Center provides assistance and resources within JSI and to other organizations to strengthen collection and use of high-quality data to improve health program and system performance. It also works to coordinate JSI resources and experience in RME to ensure access among RM&E and program staff to essential tools, techniques, and peer support.

The CHIME Senior Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) Officer works under the supervision of a CHIME Technical Advisor and works closely with the CHIME Director, Deputy Director, Senior Technical Advisors, and RME Officers. The Senior RME Officer provides technical RME assistance to JSI projects and clients, including supporting the development and management of RME activities, analyses, and results dissemination. Additionally, the Senior RME Officer works closely with the Data Visualization Team Lead to respond to internal and external requests for data visualization support by creating dashboards and other decision making tools, using best practices in information design. The Senior RME Officer also contributes to and supports new business development for RME, supports the coordination of activities related to promoting technical standards and quality in RME at JSI, and supports and participates in networking events/meetings.

Due to COVID-19, all CHIME staff are currently working in a remote capacity, however, this position is expected to be based at the JSI Arlington, VA office. The CHIME core team works closely with the M&E Team in the JSI Boston International Group, large centrally-funded USAID projects in the DC office, and other JSI Centers (Digital Health, HIV/AIDS, Capacity Development, Center for Healthy Women, Children and Communities, Logistics Services, and Immunization).
